Practicing and improving Visual Design skills
Coming from a background in Biology & Biochemistry, I spent a decade learning to never 'fluff things up.' Everything should be straight to the point, and there was no need for things to be visually pleasing. But we all know how this story ends:
"When used correctly, there are great benefits to visual design for clear communication."
- Get comfortable with using grids and establishing hierarchy
- Practice keeping a minimal and clear layout with best UX practices
- Incorporate humanistic elements in the visuals and copy
